The Detmold Group is a leading manufacturer of paper and board packaging products with 6 manufacturing locations and over 22 sales offices in 15 countries. We supply to a diverse range of customers including some of the world’s leading brands.
It is an exciting time in our Vietnam operations with a planned expansion underway. To support this increase in capacity we are looking for an experienced manufacturing manager to join our team and provide leadership within our growing operations. This role will be based at our facilities in Binh Duong near Ho Chi Minh City where paper and board printed products are manufactured including; cups, bags, wraps and napkins. Reporting to the General Manager, the manufacturing manager is a key member of the local management team. This role will suit candidates who enjoy the challenge of a fast paced evolving manufacturing environment, being hands on and leading teams to deliver on our customer commitment of Quality, Service and Efficiency.
Candidates will have;
- Strong manufacturing management experience and skills with sound demonstrated knowledge and experience in contemporary manufacturing practices and processes
- Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to develop solutions that are practically viable
- High-level leadership, communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills, with demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams
- Good spoken and written English communication
- A relevant degree qualification
The Manufacturing Manager's activities and responsibilities include;
- Working with the General Manager and local management team in providing leadership for the Vietnam operations, and developing and implementing the Vietnam manufacturing plan to meet Company objectives
- Managing production activities and establishes manufacturing priorities in keeping with effective operations; cost, quality and safety considerations; and on time delivery against the production schedule and customer requirements
- Developing and implementing programs to reduce costs, increase efficiencies, reduce waste, achieve quality and safety improvements etc.
- Selecting, developing and engaging the teams to ensure efficient operations and a positive workplace in accordance with our values
- Tracking and managing costs, expenditures and variances
- Participating in and developing actions to establish and maintain good management practices, quality and other third party accreditations
- Undertaking projects as assigned by the General Manager
