The Detmold Group is a leading manufacturer of paper and board packaging products with 6 manufacturing locations and over 22 sales offices in 15 countries. We supply to a diverse range of customers including some of the world’s leading brands.

It is an exciting time in our Vietnam operations with a planned expansion underway. To support this increase in capacity we are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our team.  This role will be based at our facilities in Binh Duong near Ho Chi Minh City and will form part of the Supply Chain team.

This position is responsible for the planning, monitoring and maintenance of production planning and inventory across a range of products and key tasks will include:

• Reviewing Sales Order reports to confirm accuracy and viability of orders in line with production capacity
• Identifying and rectifying any discrepancies or concerns relating to the Bill of Materials
• Ensuring work orders are closed and complete all related daily administrative tasks including production reporting
• Populating data from the Sales Order Reports to the Production Planning Software
• Managing due dates to improve PIFOT (Planned in Full on Time) and reducing late orders
• Continually reviewing production plans to help identify any potential restraints with stock levels and delivery dates
• Liaising with Production Managers to ensure that the production plans maximise operational efficiencies
• Identifying potential issues with production demand/levels and making recommendations on how to rectify
• Assisting departments to control and monitor manufacturing cycle times
• Proactively communicating with all departments of the business when changes/priorities occur
• Undertaking scheduled and ad-hoc reporting activities in line with operational requirements
• Assisting with purchasing and back flushing duties
• Providing strong leadership to the Supply Chain team members

Proven experience in a similar role will be highly regarded as well as tertiary studies in Supply Chain Management or Production/Demand Planning.  Intermediate computer skills and exposure to Production Scheduling software is desirable.
