In support of driving key strategic improvement initiatives globally; we are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Quality professional to join our Australian Operations Team. This role is accountable for the design and implementation of operational process improvement to strengthen the Detmold Quality Management System and Frameworks. The position is based at Brompton and reports through to the Quality Manager.

An overview of the key duties includes:

  • Explore and implement Continuous Improvement Processes across the Australian Operations business.
  • Conduct process analysis and present findings/results/solutions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Optimize the manufacturing processes across all areas.
  • Drive the structured problem-solving methodologies through the application of Lean Tools (eg. TPM, Kaizen, FMEA, APQP, etc)
  • Manage the Quality Complaint and Internal Non-Conformance Systems to ensure timely and appropriate responses from Manufacturing are made and implemented.
  • Assist in the management of the CAPA system (Improvement Tracker) to ensure improvements are raised against the appropriate responsible person and verify that Improvements are effectively implemented.
  • Assist in preparing and hosting 2nd and 3rd party quality and food safety related audits.
  • Liaise with and support a broad range of personnel across Manufacturing, Sales and Group Departments to source or provide information with respect to Quality Complaints, Internal Non-Conformances and enquiries.
  • Perform Internal Audits for Food Safety and Quality throughout the Adelaide Operations to ensure compliance with Company policy, practices and procedures.
  • Review, expand or create Quality and Technical related Operational documentation to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
  • To conduct product testing where required, and assess and input data into the tracking database.
  • To assist in product recall investigations in consultation with the Quality Manager and the relevant Department Manager/s.
  • Coaching of employees to Quality principles.
  • Follow-up to non-conformances including verification of corrective and preventive actions.

The person we seek will require the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in a Manufacturing Quality environment
  • Internal auditing experience.
  • Procedure and policy developing/reviewing experience.
  • Risk assessment experience in Food Saftey.
  • Problem solving ie: six sigma, FMEA, APQP.
  • Sound knowledge of process validation, process control and capabilities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; with the ability to liaise, coach and influence stakeholders across the organisation.
  • MS Office (particularly Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Work autonomously & methodically.
  • Relevant formal qualifications.
  • Principles of ISO 9001.
