We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Warehouse Manager to provide end-to-end front line leadership for our busy finished goods Warehouse facility in Mangere, Auckland. Reporting directly to the General Manager NZ this role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse across the areas of people, inventory and freight management and continuous improvement.

An overview of the key duties includes:

• Providing leadership and direction to operational and administrative warehouse employees
• Ongoing transaction management of received/dispatched goods to meet service targets of DIFOT
• Driving cost improvements through the business by identifying opportunities in supply chain to reduce costs or improve lead times and service
• Ensuring quarantine processes are strictly adhered to and that inventory is managed effectively
• Maintaining front line responsibility for OH&S within the warehouse
• Ensuring housekeeping standards within the warehouse are maintained at optimal levels
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and driving cost reduction

The person we seek will possess the following skills and experience:

• Significant experience as a team leader or manager in a similar role and/or industry
• A current and unrestricted driver's licence
• Intermediate computer skills, e.g. MS Word, Outlook, Excel
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, apply initiative and lead by example

A Certificate IV in Warehouse and Distribution and/or Certificate IV in Front Line Management (or equivalent experience) and a current Fork Lift ticket are also highly desirable.
