The Detmold Group is a leading manufacturer of paper and board packaging products with 6 manufacturing locations and over 22 sales offices in 15 countries. We supply to a diverse range of customers including some of the world’s most iconic brands.

This newly created diverse role will report directly to the Group General Manager Human Resources, and carry accountability for identifying and securing high quality talent for our business as well as being involved in generalist HR activities. 

Working in partnership with key business managers and HR colleagues, the successful candidate will drive the talent acquisition agenda.  Key responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding and delivering talent requirements for diverse recruitment campaigns ranging across sales, operational, and professional positions
  • Utilising a broad range of innovative sourcing strategies to attract, assess and identify top talent
  • Ensuring a high-quality candidate experience
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment campaigns
  • Providing regular reporting and industry insights to stakeholders regarding talent acquisition strategies and trends
  • Being involved in generalist HR projects. 

Key to your success will be the ability to provide superior customer service to internal stakeholders in delivering quality talent for their business.  The ability to source talent for the future, to drive selection decisions that balance potential with ready now ability, and the persistence and resilience to get the right candidate will also be critical.

Although the initial focus of this role will be on the ability to source and secure talent for the business, it will also be involved in generalist HR activities and have the potential to build your skills in other HR disciplines. 

Furthermore, you will need to be a self-starter who is able to collaborate, influence and achieve results with a broad spectrum of stakeholders.  Your ability to problem-solve and develop effective solutions will also be important.

Experience working in a generalist HR role with a recruitment specialisation will be well-regarded or the desire to specialise in Talent Acquisition will be well-regarded.  Tertiary qualifications in HR, Organisational Psychology or other relevant disciplines will also be highly regarded.
