Detpak is the dynamic sales and marketing arm of the Detmold Group, created to specifically service the packaging needs of the food service industry.  Detpak works with and supplies some of Australia’s biggest take-away food brands as well as customer groups including up-market coffee roasters, cafes, bakeries and a vast distribution network.

About our Opportunity

This is a newly created role and an exciting opportunity for a dynamic sales professional with a passion for sustainability to play a lead role in the expansion of Detpak’s RecycleMe™ system.  We are seeking a commercially astute, motivated and achievement focused Business Manager to lead and win new business to deliver growth for the Detmold Group.  Developing global markets, customers, category and product growth opportunities to unlock new business, ensuring our sales pipeline is aligned to business targets will be a priority for this role.

Reporting to the Group General Manager-Global Brands, Business Development and New Markets, this role suits an experienced Business Manager, with a proven track record of leadership in business development best practice and the delivery of sustainable growth across global markets.

Working as a trusted member of the team your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Investigating and analysing market trends, opportunities and competitive positioning to exploit competitive advantage
  • Developing strategies to unlock new business across identified global markets, customers, categories and products
  • Developing and executing detailed business plans to deliver sustainable growth
  • Delivering on targets for pipeline and sales growth, margin, market activation, events and projects

We operate in a dynamic and fast paced environment that suits a pro-active Business Manager with the ability to think strategically and problem solve at a high-level and the experience to challenge the business to continuously improve.  Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to build trust and establish credible relationships will be critical to your success along with your integrity and passion for delivering results.  Experience in the coffee channel is preferable.
