 About our Opportunity

This is a newly created role and a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, well-organised, solutions focused Account Manager or Salesperson looking for the next step in their career.  Reporting to the General Manager - Detpak (Industrial) Australasia this role will support Business Managers within the Detpak Industrial ANZ sales team in developing and executing effective account plans and building winning relationships with customers focused on customer retention and driving sustainable and profitable growth. Providing sales support and account management the role also has responsibility for a small portfolio of customers based in South Australia.

Most importantly, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn from experienced Business Managers and will play a key role supporting them and in tendering high value opportunities and onboarding new business. 

Working as an integral member of the Detpak (Industrial) Australasia sales team your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining forecasts and managing stock levels and aged stock targets in conjunction with Group Supply Chain
  • Maintaining active customer information in Salesforce and working with the Account Coordinator team to ensure extensive use of Salesforce to drive business efficiency & improved sales outcomes
  • Developing winning relationships through transparent communication with all key customer stakeholders across our customers
  • Supporting Business Managers to effectively manage and drive growth and new business development pipelines
  • Developing and delivering quarterly review meetings with agreed customers, in conjunction with the Business Managers, and targeting continuous improvement and business development opportunities
  • Identifying and closing opportunities for new business by providing innovative and responsive product solutions.  

We operate in a dynamic and fast paced environment that suits someone with a passion for delivering results, and some previous sales experience in account management and sales conversion.  The successful candidate must be able to quickly learn new concepts and be an effective and creative problem solver with a desire to develop and learn from experienced Business Managers.

The ability to work autonomously whilst providing proactive support to the team will be vital to your success in this role as will your ability to build trust and establish credible relationships and high attention to detail.  Previous experience in packaging or the B2B industrial sector are preferable.
