The Detmold Group is a leading manufacturer of specialised paper and board packaging products. Recently the Detmold Group have partnered with the State and Federal Governments to manufacture medical masks and are rapidly establishing Detmold Medical a local manufacturing facility to ensure supplies for our primary health care workers.
As a result of this investment in local manufacturing we require experienced Shift Production Managers to join us on a 12-month contract basis. Initially our new operations will operate across 3 shifts, and the Shift Production Managers will participate in the phased ramp up of production, over the next two months to achieve full scale production across all the shifts, leading teams of up to approximately 65 people per shift.
The Shift Production Managers will be responsible on their respective shifts to ensure production targets are achieved including the production schedule, product quality standards, efficiency, workforce training, management and engagement, compliance to GMP, safety, quality and all other requirements of the production process. These are hands on roles which will see the incumbents highly visible on the shop floor in the day to day running of production. We require self-motivated managers with a passion for manufacturing, people management and leading by example.
We are seeking applications from candidates who have demonstrated experience with the above aspects. Key to your success will be your ability to lead a team within a production or manufacturing facility, coupled with a knowledge of contemporary manufacturing principles and experience with quality management systems. You will present an energetic and resilient approach, with outstanding communication and people skills. It is essential that you are a natural problem solver, highly organised and collaborative, with an adaptable work style.
