Maintenance Planner

The Detmold Group is a leading manufacturer of specialised paper and board packaging products. Recently the Detmold Group have partnered with the State and Federal Governments to manufacture medical masks and are rapidly establishing Detmold Medical a local manufacturing facility to ensure supplies for our primary health care workers.

As a result of this investment in local manufacturing we require an experienced Maintenance Planner to join us on a 12-month contract basis.

Initially our new operations will operate across 3 shifts, we have commenced a phased commissioning of equipment and ramp up of production to achieve full scale production across all of the shifts. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for driving the planning and scheduled maintenance activities to maximise productivity “up-time”, to achieve the customer requirements for product quantity, delivery and quality whilst maintaining the health and safety of employees. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Resource allocation and coordination of preventative maintenance schedule
  • Manage the planning and execution of routine maintenance activities
  • Developing operational and preventative maintenance actions.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Manager ensuring equipment performance maximises OEE KPI
  • Supporting shift management to balance production achievement and reliability outcomes, focused on daily production to ensure plans are achieved in full and on time

Working in this fast-paced environment, you will ideally possess the following:

  • Previous hands on working experience in a maintenance planning environment, you will be technically capable and ideally trade qualified
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaboratively and effectively engage in a cross functional team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • An analytical and logical thought process coupled with strong attention to detail.
  • A high level of personal accountability and quality orientation
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a FMCG manufacturing environment is desirable.
