Detmold Medical has recently been established by the Detmold Group as a result of a partnership with the State and Federal Governments to manufacture medical masks (PPE).  Detmold Medical has set up a new manufacturing facility to ensure supplies for our primary health care workers.

About our Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for several Machine Technicians to join our growing team at the Brompton site under a Fixed Term Contract until 30 June 2021, with possible extension.  Your responsibilities and activities will include:

• Develop strong technical and operational understanding of production machinery and materials.
• Machine set up, ensuring equipment runs to specifications.
• Develop and implement standard work processes.
• Ensure machinery standards, efficiencies and product standards are maintained.
• Train operators and packer to the required knowledge and skill levels.

About You

Working in this fast-paced environment, you will ideally possess the following:

• Natural ability to foster relationships.
• Self-initiative and demonstrated experience in a similar role.
• Exceptional diagnostics and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work across all 3 shifts (day, afternoon, night and/or weekends).

Technicians will ideally have a technical background, a mechanical/electrical trade or similar, is desirable and/or would have worked in a similar role on high speed production lines/equipment. You will be able to diagnose and problem solve, work efficiently and safely, and be able to work collaboratively in a diverse work environment.
