About our Opportunity

Our team is focused on success and really enjoy what they do!  We’re looking for people with a passion for delivering excellence in customer service who are focused, organised, and proactive, to join our Detpak team, based in Adelaide, South Australia.  Detpak is the dynamic sales and marketing arm of the Detmold Group, created to specifically service the packaging needs of the food service industry.  In addition to working with and supplying some of Australia’s biggest take-away food brands, we also service customer groups including upmarket coffee roasters and cafes, bakeries and our vast distribution base.

This role works closely with our customers, our Detpak sales teams and internal key stakeholders to ensure excellence in customer service and delivery of customer service priorities and business objectives.  An opportunity to learn ,and work in, other customer service and sales teams across our Australian Sales business to aid career growth and development will be possible. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining close contact with customers over the phone to promote our products & services and answering customer questions
  • Building a positive image of the Company to our customers through your interactions with them
  • Undertaking centralised processing of customer enquiries and orders in a timely and consistent manner
  • Liaising with customers to ensure they are informed on the status of their orders and upcoming deliveries
  • Proactively addressing customer concerns and requests and identifying solutions that demonstrate the Detpak promise of delivering quality, value and service
  • Assisting the sales team to manage administrative tasks, enabling them to maximise time spent customer facing
  • Arranging dispatch of products and/or product information to existing or potential customers
  • Ensuring full use of our Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) to aid our sales processes 

About You

You will have previous experience in a similar role with a focus on delivering excellence in service within a fast-paced environment.  Your calm, customer-focused approach and ability to process orders with a high level of accuracy in a timely manner will ensure your success and in particular, you will demonstrate:

  • A passion for customer service and business success
  • An excellent phone manner and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • A high-level of attention to detail
  • Ability to think on your feet and offer alternative solutions to meet customer needs
  • Resilience and ability to manage to tight timeframes
  • Prioritisation / time management and organisational skills
  • Problem solving ability
  • Ability to use the MS Office suite of products
  • A desire ,and ability, to work effectively in a team
