Customer Service Administrator

About our Opportunity

Our team is focused on success and really enjoy what they do!  We’re looking for people who enjoy going the extra mile for our customers and have good administrative skills and high attention to detail to join our Detpak team, based in Adelaide, South Australia. Detpak is the dynamic sales and marketing arm of the Detmold Group, created to specifically service the packaging needs of the food service industry.  In addition to working with and supplying some of Australia’s biggest take-away food brands, we also service customer groups including upmarket coffee roasters and cafes, bakeries and our vast distribution base.

This role works closely with our customers, our Detpak sales teams and internal key stakeholders to ensure excellence in delivery of administration and customer service aligned to business priorities and objectives.  An opportunity to learn, and work in, other customer service and sales teams across our Australian Sales business to aid career growth and development will be possible. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Administration of customer enquiries and orders in a timely and consistent manner
  • Arranging dispatch of products and/or product information to existing or potential customers
  • Developing and maintaining close contact with customers over the phone to promote our products & services and answering customer questions
  • Building a positive image of the Company to our customers through your interactions with them
  • Ensuring customers are informed on the status of their orders and upcoming deliveries
  • Proactively addressing customer concerns and requests and identifying solutions
  • Assisting the sales team to manage administrative tasks, enabling them to maximise time spent customer facing
  • Using our Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) to aid our sales processes

About You

Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar role delivering excellence in administration support with a focus on customer service in a fast-paced environment.  Your calm approach and ability to process orders with a high level of accuracy in a timely manner will ensure your success and in particular, you will demonstrate:

  • A high-level of attention to detail
  • A passion for customer service
  • An excellent phone manner and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to think on your feet and offer alternative solutions to meet customer needs
  • Resilience and ability to manage to tight timeframes
  • Prioritisation / time management and organisational skills
  • Problem solving ability
  • Ability to use the MS Office suite of products
  • A desire and ability to work effectively in a team
