Service Desk Analyst

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager the position of Service Desk Analyst is responsible for the first line of technical support to resolve IS related problems for people across the Detmold Group of Companies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the first point of contact for stakeholders seeking technical assistance
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Triaging or escalating Service Desk requests as needed
  • Troubleshooting network, hardware, and software issues
  • User account administration (creations, modifications, deletions, or password changes)
  • Asset Management for all IS devices and maintenance of Asset Databases to track usage and condition of deployed equipment Purchase IT hardware and software
  • Device deployment and provisioning.
  • Basic Server 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2019 admin.
  • Basic SOE (Windows 10, Office 365) admin.
  • Member of the after-hours support roster
  • Preparing documentation and training material for business users.

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:

  • Demonstrated interest in a career within the ICT Support
  • Experience with Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Exchange 2013 / 2016, Windows 7 and Windows 10, Office 2016 and Office 365.
  • Basic Network Troubleshooting Knowledge (Use of PING, NSLookUp, Tracert etc).
  • Experience in software and hardware installation.
  • The ability to show initiative and be proactive in problem solving and issue management
  • A high level of personal accountability, quality orientated and delivery against deadlines
  • The ability to participate as a team member to enable the business to achieve its goals
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours (e.g. after-hours roster)
