We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual to join our busy finished goods Warehouse facility in Mangere, Auckland in the position of Inventory Controller/Storeperson.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager NZ this role is responsible for managing the storage and inventory accuracy of the New Zealand warehouse to ensure all Company and Statutory Policies are complied with and developing and driving improvements across the warehouse function. Supporting the Warehouse Team by undertaking general Storeperson duties is also a requirement of the role.

To really thrive in this role, you should not only have a proven ability to analyse inventory data to resolve problems; but equally important is that you pride yourself on your ability to offer excellent customer service as this position frequently interacts with multiple internal and external stakeholders via the phone, face to face and email.

The Inventory Controller/StorePerson position is fast paced, challenging and very hands on!  

An overview of the key duties includes:

• Investigating stock variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Investigating missing stock through to issue resolution.
• Performing a variety of regular, and ad-hoc, reporting activities via the Warehouse Management System.
• Ensuring data integrity within the Warehouse Management System.
• Liaising with internal sales and customer service teams in the processing of urgent stock deliveries and stock issue resolution.
• Co-ordination of outside stock control and management of daily stock volumes with external vendors.
• Overseeing and maintaining the cycle count schedule and warehouse pick face slotting and maintenance.
• Working with warehouse leadership to develop and implement improvements in the warehouse.
• Acting as a "go to person"/point of escalation in matters related to stock and storage.

The person we seek will require the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience in a similar role and/or an experienced store person that is confident in the use of Warehouse Management systems/software.
• Highly developed communication and customer service skills (both written and verbal).
• Intermediate computer skills; ideally across the Microsoft suits (Outlook, Excel and Word).
• High levels of resilience and personal composure.
• Current Unrestricted Drivers licence.
