Detpak Cartons is part of the Detmold Group, a leading manufacturer of paper and board packaging products with 7 manufacturing locations and over 22 sales offices in 15 countries.   Detpak Cartons is a small and agile business servicing the growing demand for small run cartons in Australia and offering an extensive range of products including corrugated cartons, promotional displays and packaging.

About our Opportunity

We are seeking a commercially astute, motivated and achievement focused Sales professional with the ability to plan, execute and drive activities to increase product penetration in order to achieve sales and margin targets. In this role you will maintain a dual focus; service/selling to our existing customer base as well as developing new business opportunities to continue to build the market for Detpak Cartons range of products.

Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with a dedicated Sales team this will suit an experienced Business Development / Account Manager with a proven track record.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving sales budgets and retained & new business sales targets
  • Driving growth, range and product expansion of existing accounts
  • Managing key relationships to ensure professional and credible representation of the brand
  • Developing and implementing Account Plans and conducting regular business reviews against objectives for all customers
  • Identifying, qualifying and selling to identified customers and prospects, focusing on product/market applications
  • Planning and clearly executing sales activity to drive increased penetration of product and/or services into new market segments
  • Accurately maintaining and updating customer relationship management records in the CRM system
  • Providing technical support and advice across range of products 

In addition, highly developed presentation skills will be extremely valuable when supplying proposals and quotes to customers as will your awareness of movements and developments within all industries, including competitors.  Demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions in the marketplace will also be key to your success.

If you have personal integrity and passion for delivering excellence in customer service and results, a proven track record of growing and closing sales, and are looking to join a supportive team within a fast-paced company then this is the opportunity for you!   Previous experience in packaging, distribution or the FMCG industry will be highly regarded.
