Costing Administrator/Analyst

Reporting to the Costing Systems Manager within the Group Commercial Team, the position of Costing Analyst is responsible for supporting the estimating team and our sales professionals in the accurate and timely creation of product quotations for our valued customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Inputting a range of data into the quoting system whilst ensuring accuracy and completeness in preparation of price estimates for customers
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and providing a high-level customer service for product quote related questions and processes
  • Assisting in the creation of new items in Australia and overseas domains
  • Monitoring and providing feedback to sales teams and managers on data quality and input improvement
  • Proactive identification of improvement opportunities and driving various initiatives

As the incumbent becomes familiar with the role and our business they must have the capability to build a sound understanding of our estimating process, and learn about our products and the capabilities of our factories in order to be able to effectively make decisions and manage the quoting workflow.

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:

  • Systems and process thinking, attention to detail and have solid numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products
  • The ability to work independently and diligently with minimal direction
  • Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to show initiative and be proactive in problem solving and issue management

It is essential that you demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to engage across multiple stakeholders. Experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment within estimating, planning, or administration will be highly regarded.
