About our Opportunity

Detpak is the dynamic sales and marketing arm of the Detmold Group, created to specifically service the packaging needs of the food service industry.  In addition to working with and supplying some of Australia’s biggest take-away food brands, we also service customer groups including upmarket coffee roasters and cafes, bakeries and our vast distribution base.

This role provides an opportunity to lead a small, experienced and geographically dispersed sales team and is responsible for driving strategic market penetration, building sales pipelines and delivering profitable growth in the direct to channel stream.

You will be an integral part of the Detpak Australia Leadership team, and will be supported by, and work within, a close-knit Australia/NZ Sales Leadership team who will work closely with you to ensure a successful integration into the business.

About You

We are seeking someone who has the passion and ability to lead, manage and motivate a sales team and aspires to a leadership role that is both strategic and hands-on.  You may be a Key Account Manager responsible for multiple states wanting to take the next step or you may be a Sales Leader seeking a new challenge. Ideally, we are seeking someone who has sales experience in either FMCG, Food Service or Hospitality sectors. 

To be successful in this role you must have a drive for success and a proven track record of field sales achievement, with strong commercial acumen, and a working knowledge of margin, and profit drivers.  You will possess an authentic leadership style and enjoy coaching & building sales team capability.

Resilient and flexible in your approach, you are able to engage and influence across a range of stakeholders, with the courage to back your own judgement and make tough decisions.   Based in Brompton, Adelaide and reporting to the GM Sales Australia/NZ & Philippines the successful candidate will bring:
