This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring leader to make their mark by driving service excellence and lowering costs in the supply, and management of inventory.

Reporting to the Group General Manager Supply Chain and leading a team of Inventory Planners, the role of Inventory Planning Leader is responsible for coordinating and delivering high quality services to our operations and sales community, while maintaining required inventory levels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership that will challenge, develop, and inspire the team to focus on improvement across all areas of performance and to deliver on objectives
  • Ensuring engagement and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in the business
  • Lowering transactional costs associated with supply of goods to customers
  • Driving reductions in finished goods required to meet service expectations
  • Proactively managing supply gaps, shortfalls, and transitions
  • Driving aged stock reduction and inventory turns
  • Challenging existing practices and service proposition to ensure we continue to add value to our customers
  • Adding commercial acumen to supply model evaluations

You will ideally possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar Inventory Planning role
  • Interpersonal skills which are inclusive and encourage the development, cooperation, and support of others and which emphasise and encourage a professional service delivery focus
  • Results driven with strong business acumen, analytical capability, and integrative approach to business
  • Sound project management skills
  • Highest level of commitment to servicing internal customers
  • Excellent problem-solving ability including use of sound judgement
  • The ability to energise, engage and inspire others around common goals and values
  • Clear analytical and commercial decision making, while being proactive, tenacious, and persistent

To be successful within this role you will have a passion for Inventory Planning, coupled with the capacity to maintain focus when managing competing demands and to persevere until the solution is achieved. Your natural ability to foster relationships and ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels of the organisation will place you well for this role.
